Family is not always who you're related to. It can also include your very good friends and neighbors and those people that you can sit down and talk to, connect with and generally have an all-around good time with. This Thanksgiving included just that. None of us went home to our families, some of them many thousands of miles away from us. It was just too expensive or we didn't have the time to do it. So this year we made our little crowd our "family." We pot-lucked dinner, drank and even played games, which is usually something my crazy family ends up doing at holidays and big events also.
